SEQUESTER:SECLUSION ::

1. engender : born
2. placate : mollify
3. endanger : jeopardy
4. ameliorate : amend
5. sanguine : hopeful

I think to sequester means - to isolate or keep away - or to seclude, in other words.

To placate means - to mollify.. Is that the right answer.

Also, when you are posting answers it would help if you could mention the meanings of some of the more difficult words in the other choices. That would help immensely.
